PSI Capabilities

Population Services International is an nonprofit health organization headquartered in the United States with presence in over 40 countries focusing on helping consumers lead healthier lives and plan the families they desire. PSI’s digital health vision is to improve consumer health and well-being by using digital technologies to increase access and personalize delivery of quality information, products and services. PSI has significant experience implementing digital health global goods as one of the earliest and most highly scaled NGO adopters of DHIS2 and co-founder of the DHIS2 Community of Practice with the University of Oslo. PSI is a signatory organization to the Principles for Digital Development, and supports both implementation and capacity strengthening for global goods-based OpenHIE aligned tools and standards such as OpenHIM, OpenMRS, and FHIR for its own private healthcare clinic networks in LMICS and ministries of health. PSI aims to expand its partnership with OpenHIE to further accelerate training for OpenHIE tools and standards through its new collaboration with Africa CDC for digital health capacity strengthening among African Union member states.
