The OpenHIE community is preparing to convene in-person in just a few months! The 2024 OpenHIE Community Meeting will take place in Colombo, Sri Lanka from 12-16 November 2024. Join us to network and connect around health information exchange topics and challenges.

What to Expect from the 2024 OpenHIE Community Meeting
OpenHIE Community Meetings are annual events that bring together community members to connect and learn from each other’s experiences and strengthen the ability to design and build toward ecosystems that raise the level of health for all.
Implementing countries will be invited to this in-person platform to share their successes and challenges around architecture. Attendees will also hear from Sri Lanka about their work on operationalizing interoperability and in putting their Digital Health Blueprint into practice!
Government officials, implementers, tech developers, and other stakeholders across the community will have opportunities for networking and collaboration.
Additionally, participants can expect sessions and affiliated events like:
- OpenHIE Architecture Summit to discuss OpenHIE’s framework and focus on the topic of Imaging
- Sessions that bring countries together for experience sharing
- Networking time specifically designated for country identified eHealth leaders to discuss important governance and policy topics
- Connect-a-thon to allow developers to collaborate
- Technical Marketplace where technical initiatives demonstrate their solutions and how they support the OpenHIE Architecture and workflows
- Academy Live learning session to deep dive into the topics of Standards and Implementation Guide Development
- Virtual Site Visit presented live at the Community Meeting
- Several open “unconference” sessions for which topics are proposed by attendees relevant to their experiences / OpenHIE implementation work

Share Unconference Session Topics
Members of the community can propose session topics prior to the #OHIE24 event. We encourage community members to add topics they would like to hear about. Please share your ideas on this miro board by 20 October 2024 or bring them in person to the event
The ideas shared on the board are suggestions for unconference sessions and are not guaranteed to appear on the agenda at #OHIE24. We will share these suggestions prior to the live proposal session at #OHIE24.

Please note that registration for #OHIE24 Community Meeting includes:
- Your participation in all #OHIE24 agenda activities
- Lunch during the days of the conference at the event venue
- Coffee/Tea breaks twice a day during the conference
