Visa

In order to apply to receive a required business visa for entry to Malawi, you will need to provide passport and itinerary details to the planning team in order to receive the Invitation Letter from the Malawi Ministry of Health:

Please fill out this Invitation Letter Request form to receive your invitation letter within 2 business days. 

You should plan to complete your visa application, which includes providing your completed invitation letter, by 14 April (two weeks prior to the meeting). See below for important links for the visa application.

Please note that refunds due to being denied a visa will only be honored if OpenHIE is notified of the denial no later than two weeks prior to the event start date.

Transport

We will provide transportation to and from the airport and event venue for all registrants. This is a complimentary service provided by OpenHIE and the Malawi team.

The #OHIE23 Annual Community Meeting will take place a the Umodzi Park Hotel in Lilongwe, Malawi (Chilembwe Road, P.O. Box 31489, Lilongwe, City Center).
