This community provides an open forum for subject matter experts, implementers, and tool developers (experts to novices) to share and document best practices, identify challenges and gaps and create roadmaps for development and use of identity management standards, tooling (client registries/master patient indexes and matching/linking algorithms), biometrics and other architectural patterns and standards for identity management.
The community includes terminologists, technical and implementation stakeholders whose objective is the utilization and deployment of standardized healthcare terminology to support continuity of semantic meaning, the meaning of health terms, as data is shared across organizations and systems.
This community’s mission is to further develop standard practices for achieving sustainable interoperability required to calculate and track health metrics (indicators) efficiently and practically.
This community includes individuals, NGOs, and governments who share a commitment to aggregating and making health workforce information accessible using international standards and open source technologies. It works primarily to develop, test, and provide implementation support for open source health worker registry standards, applications, and stakeholder guidance.
The OpenHIE Interoperability Layer Community (OHIE-IOL) aims to enable easier interoperability between health information systems. We provide a forum for discussion and knowledge sharing for designing and developing an interoperability layer that connects the components within OpenHIE.
The OpenHIE Shared Health Record Community (OHIE-SHR) aims to enable the collection and storage of electronic health information about individual patients in a centralized repository, which is capable of being shared across different healthcare settings.
This community is a working group designed to represent and codify the needs of the health supply chain and directly influence overall OpenHIE conventions and standards so that they are directly supportive.
This community is focused on identifying health care financing data exchange needs and working synergistically with the OpenHIE community to ensure that data exchange processes and requirements meet the needs of the health care financing communities.
